Glamping means luxury camping.
No plastic tent on the ground with an air mattress and a candle! Instead, elegant and fully furnished cotton canvas tents set on platforms – some may know them from old safari movies. And for an even more refined experience: the Cabanas – adobe huts built on platforms.
Everything was newly built between 2022 and 2025. Currently, there are 6 canvas tents and 4 cabanas, centrally located in the village, in the midst of the vast Cocoshain area, with views of Lake Almeçegas.
Available for guests is a large, well-equipped sanitary facility and a cooking house with stove, refrigerator, freezer, and a fully equipped kitchen. The on-site restaurant is also available for use. So, the day begins with breakfast under ancient mango trees and fresh coconuts. When there are enough guests, we offer breakfast or full board.
Access is possible with a regular car.
There is a washing machine, free high-speed internet, and a reliable power supply. The entire infrastructure and all leisure facilities of the Bio-Resort are also available to glamping guests. All tents and cabanas are equipped with bed linen and towels, and they have lighting, electricity, fans, and mosquito nets for the rainy season.
Canvas tents
The high-quality canvas tents, imported from Belgium, are made of thick cotton fabric, 5 meters in diameter and with standing height. So there's plenty of space for a couple, though we have also accommodated families with three children in them.
On the large, elevated platform, covered with palm leaves, you can sit at the table or relax in the hammock while looking out over the lake – there's almost always a pleasant breeze.
Inside the tent, there are single or double beds with mattresses, a clothes rack, lighting, electricity, and fans. The mosquito nets allow for comfortable ventilation even at night.

The Cabanas are traditional of clay huts with a wooden framework and clay-plastered walls – providing a very pleasant and healthy indoor climate.
Set on a platform one meter high and measuring 7 by 8 meters, there are two spacious rooms with a double bed and two single beds, shelves, a fan, and a private refrigerator.
In front, there is a generous, covered terrace with a table and deck chairs, as well as two washbasins.
